I am Alba Colmenares Moore, a native Venezuelan who made the brave move to the United States 17 years ago. Fleeing the dictatorship in search of a better future for my family, I embarked on a journey that would shape my life in profound ways.

Despite bringing a wealth of academic achievements and work experience, I found myself starting anew.

Rebuilding my career from scratch and adapting to a new culture was both interesting and challenging, but it also proved to be an incredibly fulfilling experience. Through this process, I learned firsthand the importance of seeking and accepting help during significant life transitions. We can do this by ourselves, but we don’t have to do it alone.  I’ve walked alongside individuals as they wrestle with life’s complexities, adaptions and transitions and I this has been the most beautiful and rewarding experience.

My commitment to cultural competence extends beyond my Hispanic roots. I’ve intentionally invested in formal education and training to become a sensitive professional who provides non-judgmental, supportive, highly compassionate, and empathic environment for my clients to feel comfortable, build a trusting relationship and grow their mindset
