I’ve been a British expatriate in Asia since 2010, both as a working professional and a trailing spouse.
Professional and personal explorations have taken me from the city of Glasgow, in Scotland, where I was born and brought up, to study, live, and work elsewhere whilst maintaining a strong connection to my ancestral (Indian) roots. To date, I’ve lived in the UAE, Singapore, and the Philippines as an expat.
Frequent geographical relocation has equipped me to navigate change well. And my cultural curiosity and rapport with people have allowed me to consistently add layers to our expat life. I greatly value the need for practicality in daily life but also delight in fresh and novel ways of examining change.
As your Mobility Mentor, I will encourage you to honor your unique process and level of comfort, help you leverage the power of community, and guide you to tap into any existing frameworks in place. As significant life events can occur wherever you are in the world (career pivots, parenthood, medical emergencies) I offer guidance and support in a range of areas.
My inspiration for Coaching:
A third international move in 2016 coincided with a shift in my approach to health & lifestyle. I seized the opportunity to pursue further knowledge in preventative health practices, developing an interest in techniques to aid sustainable living & working.
My passion for people & self-development has been kept alight through Yoga, both as a practitioner and a teacher. By connecting the dots between yogic philosophy and modern living practices, I’ve been able to able to delve deeper into concepts such as balanced lifestyle choices, nutrition, preventative health & human performance.
When coaching, I naturally draw upon a variety of sources and schools of thought. I simplify them, make them relevant & combine them with modern techniques of delivery for my clients.
